Matthew Nels is a managing director with Menke & Associates and responsible for advising business owners on ownership transition, structuring ESOP transactions, raising financing and assisting existing ESOP companies with their administration and sustainability needs. Prior to Menke, Matt spent several years with BMO and Fifth Third Bank where he was responsible for marketing, structuring, underwriting and managing leveraged ESOP, private equity and traditional middle market debt transactions across the United States. Matt also spent time in underwriting and portfolio management roles at Fortress Investment Group (Pangaea Asset Mgmt), Bank of America (LaSalle Bank) ESOP Advisory, GE Capital/Heller Financial.
