Daniel has decades of experience as a journalist, communications strategist and campaigner. He played leading roles on some of the most groundbreaking worker organizing campaigns in recent history, including the Fight for $15, which helped 30 million workers win $200 billion in annual raises. Daniel helped win first-of-a-kind sector-wide bargaining opportunities for half a million fast-food workers in California and 70,000 rideshare drivers in Massachusetts. His writing has appeared in the New York Times and many other outlets. His book, Under Protest, uncovers the history of South Africa's first Black university and the role its students played in toppling apartheid.
