From the Front Lines: Employee Voices on Employee Ownership Conversions

This panel centers employee voices from ESOP companies. Leaders will hear directly from employees who have lived through the post-conversion reality: the first ownership statements, shifting expectations, evolving governance and communication practices, and the ongoing work of building a durable ownership culture.

Panelists will reflect on what it actually feels like to become an employee-owner—what supported engagement, where confusion or mistrust emerged, and what practices helped ownership move from concept to lived experience over time. They’ll share candid insights from their first year of ownership and beyond, including what they wish leadership had understood earlier and what made ownership feel meaningful (or hollow) in practice.

The discussion will include a dynamic Q&A and be grounded in the Framework for Ownership Culture Handbook, a practical resource leaders will receive at the session.
